At the Market

Published by at 5:21 pm under Uncategorized

As much as I rave about the Ferry Building Farmer’s Market in San Francisco, it seems only fair to give out-of-towners a taste of what it has to offer.

Besides stand after stand of gourmet prepared foods, juices and coffee, the market features local farmers who offer heaps of their best seasonal produce. You don’t have to be a San Franciscan or even a foodie to appreciate this kind of beauty. (For the sake of intellectual property, I’m officially crediting the assistant for these gorgeous pictures.)

Hopefully now you understand why I can’t seem to shut up about the market. And why I plan to go every day that it’s open this week, and to check out some of the city’s smaller ones on the off-days. Life is hard.

Yesterday we left the market with some peppers, strawberries, and no less than four different kinds of cheese (don’t judge), in addition to oysters and preserves. The strawberries especially went to good use, but there’s more on that to come…
